This weeks dramatic episode begins with Officer Trudy Platt and her father Robert Platt having a drink and dinner and discussing his new very young girlfriend. As officer Platt leaves her fathers house a man approaches her from behind and strikes her in the back of the head and begins beating her. Officer Platt raises her gun but the man snatched it and took off when officer Platt set off her car alarm for help. ( who attacked Trudy and why?)
Sgt Voight and Detective Lindsay questions Trudy’s husband Mouch at Chicago med where Trudy was taken about anyone who could want to harm Trudy. Meanwhile Trudy is in surgery.
Detective Dawson and Olinsky question the man who helped and called 911. All units that are available are sent to help out try to find evidence on who hurt Trudy.
Burgess and Ruzek begin searching files to see who threatened Platt and they discover that last week someone filed a law suit. ( Was the Sgt who threatened her last about getting Tay transferred behind her beating.)
Burgess, Ruzek and Atwater question a suspect and learn that platt helped out his store by providing security for the employees collecting money off her shift. ( could Trudy have made an enemy while she was trying to help out?)
Ruzek, Atwater and Olinsky go to Trudy’s fathers house and finds him covered in blood on the floor murdered! ( Was Mr.Platt murdered for his daughters whereabouts or was he the real target?)
Voight gives strict orders to Dawson, Burgess, Ruzek and Atwater to look into everyone Mr. Platt was associated with. That their was no robbery and whoever did this wanted them to suffer.
Back at Chicago Med Lindsay and Halstead break the news to Trudy that her father was murdered and asks if they got a look at the man who attacked her and murdered her father. ( poor Trudy first she was attacked and now her father was murdered )
Halstead and Lindsay find out that Trudy looked up Mr. Platts girlfriend Natalie and her ex boyfriend who is a con. ( did Trudy figure out Natalie wanted to rip her dad off for money and was attacked for it?)
The team arrive to arrest Natalie at a store after receiving a tip that Mr.platt credit card was being used to buy a big screen tv by her boyfriend Lenonard. ( if Natalie wasn’t hiding anything why did she run?)
AtWater and Olinsky and Natalie arrive at a private club that Mr. Platt was a member of and receive a copy of a video of a ’68 mustang driving around where Platt was attacked. ( who did that mustang belong to and did they attack Platt?)
Burgess tells Platt in the hospital about the car that the suspect was driving. Trudy says it means nothing to her but later when Halstead and Lindsay arrive to see her she’s gone from her hospital bed! ( where’s Trudy and did she figure out who killed her dead and attacked her?)
Lindsay and Halstead Learn the name of a man who did deals with Mr.Platt and also has the same ’68 mustang. Voight and Dawson learn that Trudy tipped off the police to arrest Mcgregor. ( was mcgregor out of jail and wanting revenge?)
Trudy arrives at Wade Mcgregor’s house and holds a gun to him and finds her gun that was stolen the night of the attack. She handcuffs him to a chair and learns that he did murder her father and attacked her! ( Go Trudy! She remembered about Mcgregor when Burgess informed her of his car)
Trudy goes to splash water on her face and comes back to find Voight with Mcgregor. Voight takes Trudy aside to talk to her and she breaks down crying about him killing her dad. ( my heart broke for Trudy during this scene.) Mcgregor is arrested and Trudy is taken back to Chicago Med to finish healing. Where Trudy and Mocuh have a heart to heart about how worried he was.
