Revenge is back! After a disappointing first half I can say that this episode was good. Finally it has went back to its roots. This episode had its fair share of lying, backstabbing, and manipulation. Daniel’s death definitely brought out the dramatics in Victoria. As she kneels and cries over his dead body she can’t help but blame Emily. In this scene Emily reveals to David that Kate was not only an FBI agent, but Malcolm Black’s daughter. Malcolm texts Kate and says if he doesn’t get an answer he’s getting involved. David believes they’ve just signed their death certificate. When the police finally arrive, Emily puts her good acting skills to work. She must lie to make sure Malcolm doesn’t find out his daughter is dead. Nolan is in charge of keeping her “alive” and makes it look like she’s vacationing in Florida. Margaux who’s usually dull and boring, was actually interesting in this episode. She calls Emily’s bluff and thinks she murdered Daniel. She threatens Ems and makes it her journey to see her pay. Louise is still crazy as a bat and obsessed with Victoria. Victoria uses her to get the envelope with Emily’s photo that she gave to Kate from Nolan and Jack. David wanting to protect Victoria and dispose Kate’s body, he forces her to be roomies with Emily. Jack is totally distraught. The woman he was falling for almost killed his best friend. His partner Ben doesn’t believe Emily. Once again she must put on the theatrics while he questions her.

Nolan is able to track all of Malcolm Black’s private plans. Believing his daughter in Miami, Black pays a visit there. David warns the enemies there that Black is in town. Before Daniel’s funeral Margaux arrives at the manor and tells Emily she’s not welcome at Daniel’s funeral. Emily tells her she can’t do that to which Margaux replies “but she can” while looking at Victoria. Before David leaves to attend the funeral he stops by Emily’s and reveals to her that before Daniel died he was going to kill Victoria. Emily is shocked, but I think deep down she was a little happy her dad wanted to kill her sworn enemy.

Despite their wished Emily attends the funeral, but from afar. While at the ceremony Victoria tells Louise to destroy the envelope she had her steal from Nolan. After the ceremony Nolan tells David about the blood bath in Miami. In the final scene a man claiming to work for the FBI comes up to Chief Alvarez asking about Kate Taylor. Chief says the case is closed and Kate has returned to her office. The man’s cover is blown when Alvarez realizes his car doesn’t have government tags. After asking his name Alvarez is stabbed to death to which the man finally replies Malcolm Black.
