Unfinished BusinessI’ve just had the pleasure of watching the latest episode of Arrow, ‘Unfinished Business’.

After a girl dies from using a new form of Vertigo, Oliver sets out to interrogate the Count and determine who is dealing drugs in the Glades. Oliver quickly determines the Count has lost his mind from the Vertigo overdose he received from Oliver months prior. When news reports state that the Count escaped the facility shortly after he left, Oliver suspects that the Count was faking his mental illness. Meanwhile, Detective Lance finds loose connections between Tommy and Vertigo, and attempts to uncover the truth, which almost leads him to discovering Oliver’s hideout.

Fortunately, Tommy has all of Oliver’s gear stored so that Lance does not find anything. Tommy eventually quits the club after realizing that Oliver did not trust that he had nothing to do with any drug dealing; this leads Tommy to ask his father for a job. Felicity isolates an anti-psychotic compound in the drug, and Oliver realizes that the Count’s psychiatrist is the one really behind the re-emergence of Vertigo. Oliver stops the doctor, and opts not to kill the Count, who truly lost his mind from the Vertigo overdose and was the unwitting scapegoat of the doctor’s actions.

Afterward, Oliver decides to help Diggle track down Deadshot, who was responsible for the death of Diggle’s brother. Tommy quits from the club because he and Oliver have a disagreement, and goes to ask his father for a job, who agrees. In a flashback, Yao Fei’s daughter, Shado, begins training Oliver to use a bow, with more success than Slade.

It was a strong episode, made even better by the constant references to Deadshot, and the superb acting of Seth Gabel as The Count. I’m glad he didn’t die, because I really want to se more of him.

Thanks for reading.

“Crisis on Earth-X” Parts 3 & 4 – The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow

by Miranda Friel on December 5, 2017
This D.C. Universe crossover event with all four D.C. shows is huge. So much so that it takes two recaps covering four hours’ worth of television. Since there’s so much to cover, I’m going to jump right into covering the second half of the event (parts 3 and 4: The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow). […]

Crisis on Earth-X Part 1&2 – Supergirl and Arrow

The episode starts on a completely different earth. Not Earth-Twelve or Earth-ThirtyFive or even Earth-TwoHundredAndThirtyFour, It was Earth X. It was a  world ran by Nazi’s. Where you see the Guardian fighting this masked man in a dark suit with a bow and arrow but the Guardian couldn’t win this fight.   On Earth-One there […]

Arrow “Tribute” Review

by Miranda Friel on October 24, 2017
Now that we know how everyone’s doing since the island explosions, Arrow is ready to jump right into the season. That all started with the bombshell of the premiere cliffhanger where someone has leaked a photo of Oliver as the Arrow. Episode two, “Tribute”, shows the team trying to deal with that. Oliver has an […]

Arrow “Fallout” Review

by Miranda Friel on October 19, 2017
As I’m sure everyone remembers, the season 5 finale of Arrow left us with a huge cliffhanger wondering who survived the explosions on the island. Now, I had faith that most, if not all, would survive, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t any less disappointed with how they picked up season 6 five months later. […]
