I’ve just had the pleasure of watching the latest episode of Arrow, ‘Salvation’.

Another vigilante, who goes by “The Savior”, appears in Starling City and kidnaps one of Oliver’s targets, a slum lord who recently had criminal charges dropped against him because he was able to pay off the District Attorney. The Savior forces the slum lord to confess his atrocities, only to shoot him dead over a live internet broadcast. When the Savior kidnaps the District Attorney, and broadcasts his interrogation, Felicity attempts to track his location for Oliver. The signal continues to move and keeps Oliver from being able to save the attorney.

The Savior goes after Roy next, hurting Thea in the process, whom he deems as just another gang-banger. Diggle realizes that the Savior is using an abandoned subway car to travel around the city, and Oliver is able to catch the subway car and stop the Savior before he can kill Roy. Afterward, Oliver realizes the secret organization’s plans somehow involve The Glades, a neighborhood filled with poverty and crime.

Meanwhile, Laurel proves to Dinah and her father, who now believes his daughter survived, that Sarah did indeed die when the yacht sank. Elsehwere, Malcolm makes contact with the Triad to determine who tried to kill him, so Moira fingers her business partner as the culprit to save herself. Malcolm, dressed in his Dark Archer attire, kills him and thanks Moira for her loyalty. Oliver also has a flashback to the island, revealing that he and Slade managed to free Yao Fei’s daughter, but at the cost of Fyers reacquiring the computer chips, and possibly Yao Fei (though I’m sure Fyers would keep him alive for bargaining). Anothe rifnal hint is the reunion between Roy and Thea, aith Thea leaving to clean up, and Roy looking admirably at the arrow.

It was a great episode, full of plenty of drama and revelations. It was also great to see more build up for Roy’s storyline, and moving further towards its realization (comic fans will know exactly what I’m on about).

“Crisis on Earth-X” Parts 3 & 4 – The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow

by Miranda Friel on December 5, 2017
This D.C. Universe crossover event with all four D.C. shows is huge. So much so that it takes two recaps covering four hours’ worth of television. Since there’s so much to cover, I’m going to jump right into covering the second half of the event (parts 3 and 4: The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow). […]

Crisis on Earth-X Part 1&2 – Supergirl and Arrow

by Amy McCracken on December 5, 2017
The episode starts on a completely different earth. Not Earth-Twelve or Earth-ThirtyFive or even Earth-TwoHundredAndThirtyFour, It was Earth X. It was a  world ran by Nazi’s. Where you see the Guardian fighting this masked man in a dark suit with a bow and arrow but the Guardian couldn’t win this fight.   On Earth-One there […]

Arrow “Tribute” Review

by Miranda Friel on October 24, 2017
Now that we know how everyone’s doing since the island explosions, Arrow is ready to jump right into the season. That all started with the bombshell of the premiere cliffhanger where someone has leaked a photo of Oliver as the Arrow. Episode two, “Tribute”, shows the team trying to deal with that. Oliver has an […]

Arrow “Fallout” Review

by Miranda Friel on October 19, 2017
As I’m sure everyone remembers, the season 5 finale of Arrow left us with a huge cliffhanger wondering who survived the explosions on the island. Now, I had faith that most, if not all, would survive, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t any less disappointed with how they picked up season 6 five months later. […]
