The episode starts off with Morales holding Rick at gun point.Rick tries to calm Morales by talking down the situation. Rick tried to use their past relationship to get Morales to lower the gun, but Morales says he’s changed and that Rick has become a “monster”. Morales says he’s lost his family from the time he last say Rick and that he’s Negan now. Rick continues to try and talk sense into Morales but it’s too late. Morales already called the saviors back to the compound in hopes they can capture Rick. All of a sudden Daryl appears behind Morales and shoots Morales dead. Rick is left speechless shocked that Daryl killed Morales without hesitation. We cut to the kingdom transporting saviors who surrendered at an outpost. Morgan thinks they could kill the saviors because he believes that once bad they will always be bad. Jesus believes everyone can change for the better. As they are walking down the highway a group of walkers ambush the group, and acouple of saviors managed to run off. Morgan follows and finally catches up and is about to kill the saviors that ran off but Jesus stops him in time. They end up physically fighting because of their beliefs. Jesus won and Morgan ends up walking away, leaving the group. The episode then goes back to Hilltop where Maggie is the new ruler. As they are planning their next move the old Hilltop ruler Gregory shows up in Father Gabriel’s car begging to be let back in. At this point it’s a question if someone can really be saved by their past choices. A great example is Hilltop’s own Gregory, he left Father Gabriel to die and then lied to Maggie about it. Maggie makes the decision to allow him to enter, against the opposition of some fellow Hilltop people. We then go back to the compound where Aaron goes back to the tree where we last saw Eric bleeding out. He only sees blood and Eric’s rifle laying on the grass beside the tree. Aaron looks up to see Eric had become a walker and is walking off with the walker herd. He then breaks down and stars to walk towards him only to be stopped and taken back by the cars. Rick then emerges from the compound holding the baby of the father he killed in the compound. Rick wants to bring the baby to the kingdom where she can receive medical attention if she needs it. Aaron then offers to bring her saying he really needs to do a task to help him with the death of his partner Eric. Rick agrees, seeing the pain in Aaron’s eyes. The episode ends with the King and Carol winning each of their small battles with the King saying after each one “Not one”. They enter a field of a small outpost after killing all the guards, thinking they won. The king then notices something is wrong and yells for everyone to take cover. Gunshots then go off around them and people from the Kingdom jump on the king to protect him. The episode then ends without us knowing who parishes in all that gunfire. The Walking Dead continues to deliver the “who dies?” cliffhangers. I love how this episode stresses the importance on if someone truly can be saved from past decisions. At this point in the game not many have been able to prove themselves to be “good” again. So we’ll see how Maggie’s decision to let Gregory pans out.
