La Fae Epoque begins with Kezni and Bo rushing in to the police station looking for Hale. Hale walks up to them and asks, “Where’s Dyson?”. Bo tells him that security is tight, and Kenzi complains about getting punched in the neck by a Monk. Bo then pulls a Monk to her side, and states that he’s the key to getting Dyson if they can get him to talk. They head to the interrogation room with the Monk and Hale tells the other officers that he’s an informant in his sex working case.
In the interrogation room, Bo tries to use her powers on the Monk but they won’t work. Hale suggests that the Monk must be a eunuch. Hale demands to know who is representing Dyson, but the Monk won’t speak. He then threatens the Monk with his Siren powers and the Monk starts talking. The Monk tells them that there is no trial just execution because in 1899 Dyson killed both Fae and humans in cold blood. Bo doesn’t believe that Dyson would do that, and tells the Monk that he needs to clear the way so they can get to the Keeper. The Monk recites something in Latin and afterwards foam comes from his mouth. Bo asks Hale what can they do and is Trick an option. Hale tells the girls that since Trick is acting Ash they will not grant him an audience.
The scene changes to the Una Men’s chamber where Pietra, the scavenger Fae, is begging for her life. An executioner drives a sword through Pietra’s stomach, while Dyson is in chains watching.
Bo is at the clubhouse and Lauren is hooking electrodes to her body. Bo thanks Lauren for helping them with Dyson being Light and Lauren being Dark. Lauren tells her that Dyson is family. Bo comments on Lauren’s closeness with The Morrigan. She asks Lauren if Evony knows that she’s using the Dark Fae machines to help Dyson. Lauren tells her it’s sort of a “think dark to be dark kind of thing.”
Cassie (Vanessa Matsui), the Oracle, was lying in bed already hooked up to the electrodes she’s impatient and asks them to hurry up her time is not cheap. Bo tells her she knows and that Trick pulled a lot of strings together, even risking his own life. Cassie asks them what is the plan. Bo explains that she needs to get her into Dyson’s memories. Cassie tells her that she thought Bo would want her to look into the black hole that is her memory. Cassie tells her she can’t anyway. Lauren show’s them the final element, the red string of faith, which, according to legend the gods would rap the string around the ankles of those who were destined to meet. Lauren explains that when Bo goes into Dyson’s her subconscious will project people she knows in to Dyson’s past. Cassie adds that includes her, and when Bo sees her, she needs to get out or risk being mind melded with Dyson. Lauren says they need to wait for a connection to Dyson.
At the Una Men’s lair Kenzi dressed as a Monk is washing Dyson with another Monk. She bends down to wash his legs when she ties the red string around his ankle.
Back at the clubhouse, the strings start to go and Lauren’s excited to see that Kenzi accomplished her mission. Cassie tells Bo that she may want to take a deep breath. Bo suddenly gasps for air and flashes of Dyson’s memories are shown. Bo wakes up to someone knocking on a door and ask something in french. A man yells something in french causing two females to sit up in shock. The man enters and ask the girls, “where is he”? They both cry, “I love him!” at the same time. The man searches and sees a hole in the barn wall. He concludes that the opening is not big enough for a man.
Bo/Dyson the wolf is wandering around the streets in wolf form when Bo shifts back to a person. Bo spots some clothes on a wire and steals them. She’s walking down an alley when she stops to look at her reflection in a store front window. She examines herself as Dyson and says, “Dyson you handsome devil.”
Bo continues down the street and takes a newspaper from a man. She sees a concert announcement staring Flora Bloom. She spots the man whose chasing her and hides her face with the newspaper. The man and his friend go ahead of her, turns around, and recognizes her from the side. They chase her until she’s cornered. She then taunts the man about how persuasive his daughters are. The man is about to shoot her when she’s rescued by Trick. He uses a Bo to take down the men. Trick tells Bo/Dyson that if she wants sanctuary to follow him.
At the sanctuary, Trick is talking to Bo/Dyson about Dyson’s reputation as a thief and a con through out Europe. Dyson boasts about his reputation. Trick tells Dyson that he’s capable of good, which seems to insult Dyson. Trick yells that he’ll listen and mentions the Helskór. The Helskór or hell shoes are the most sought after item by the most powerful Fae including the Wanderer. He informs them that he received information that the shoes were in the position of Prince, who was going to sell them to the highest bidder. He urges Dyson to get the shoes before they end up in the wrong hands. Dyson asks what does he get in return? Trick asks him what does he want? Then Bo/Dyson asks Trick, who is he? Trick responds Fitzpatrick McCorrigan. Bo/Dyson thanks him for the tip on the shoes and says, “see you around Trick?”
Back in reality, Lauren is monitoring Cassie and Bo, when Bo starts talking about shoes and boobs and then mentions the Wanderer. Lauren rushes over to her to try to get her to speak more on the Wanderer, but she just continues to mumble about boobs, Trick, and boobs.
Bo/Dyson enters a Cabaret, where she is greeted by Kenzi/french bartender dress in a corset with angel wings. She welcomes Bo to the cabaret. Bo asks for a drink and searches the room where she spots the Prince and an out of place couch. The bartender turn back around with the drink in hand. She informs Bo that everyone is interested in the Prince tonight, especially the man he’s sitting with, Crater. She then tells Bo to get to Flora’s room before the Prince does. The hostess then announce Flora Bloom/Lauren. Flora is singing and Bo is memorized by the performance, and notices that Dyson is enjoying it too. Bo/Dyson leaves half way through the performance much to Bo’s protest.
Back in the present, Hale is at the Una Men’s lair pleading for Dyson’s release, but the Una Men’s leader is not budging. Hale reminds them that Dyson has helped save tons of Fae by helping defeat the Garuda. The leader says they will consider, but then she refutes and dismisses Hale. Hale is outraged and just as they are about to drag him out Kenzi’s phone goes off. Kenzi is horrified, she thought she turned it on vibrate. The leader demands the guards to take Hale away. The leader informs Kenzi that she will be executed as well.
In Dyson’s memories, Flora is in her dressing room powdering her face when she see’s Dyson in the mirror. She reaches for a pair of scissors ready to stab him, but drops them and kiss him passionately. She then slaps Bo/Dyson and asks where has he been. Bo retorts,”you care?” Flora tells Bo she needs to leave. Bo informs Flora that the Prince has more than just coins. Flora then tells her to go on. Bo mentions the helskór, but Flora believes that they don’t exist. Bo convinces her otherwise and they start planning. Bo suggests that with the money they could get Flora could she, could buy back her Basque forest. Flora sees it as a way out she tells Bo that she might miss the perks. Flora and Bo/Dyson are having sex when Bo looks in the mirror, she see’s Dyson’s reflection and is intrigued.
At the clubhouse, Lauren notices that Bo’s heart rate and breathing is irregular. Bo starts moaning Lauren’s name, Lauren is pleasantry surprised, and gloats that even in Dyson’s subconscious Bo is thinking of her. Cassie then starts to count down from 98 and Lauren thinks that isn’t a good sign.
Flora and Bo/Dyson are alerted when they hear a knock on the door, it’s Prince. Flora tells Bo to hide while she goes to open the door. The Prince enters with a box in his hand and introduces himself as Prince Philippe. Flora takes the box and leads the Prince to her bed. She then blindfolds him with a scarf and starts kissing him. She reaches for the box and takes off the lid, inside she finds a pair of woven shoes. She starts to lift one out when the Prince reaches up and lowers the blind fold. He’s outraged that she’s trying to take the shoes, before he tries something Bo grabs his shoulder and punches him.
The Prince’s guards are knocking at the door asking for the Prince. In a panic Bo/Dyson put the shoes on Flora thinking the guards wouldn’t look at her feet. As soon as the shoes were placed on her feet Flora’s eyes start to glow green and the shoes start to meld to her feet, she was denied because the Helskor was not meant for her. Bo tries to get them off, but she can’t get them off. Flora is enraged and kicks Bo, she then runs out a door and Bo follows her. Crater enters the room and searches for Flora and notices the other door open.
Back in the Una Men dungeon, Kenzi is placed in the cage with Dyson. Dyson is impressed with Kenzi’s efforts in getting in the lair without getting caught. He tells her when they get out that he’s going to start training her as a Shadow Thief. Kenzi asks him if he had really murdered someone, he tells her it’s a long story that starts with a pair of shoes.
Back in Dyson’s memories, Bo sees a trail of dead bodies and realizes that it was Flora who killed all those people. She wonders why Dyson was blamed for the murders. Cassie appears in front of Bo counting down. She comments on the smell and informs Bo that she needs to cut the string. Bo sees the coach again and asks Cassie about him. She tells her that her memories or fusing with Dyson’s. Bo tells her she can’t leave because she has to find out why Dyson was being framed. Cassie tells her if she stays, she’s dumb, she also tells her she sees something different in her and ask if she wants to sacrifice it all for a wolf. Cassie removes her string and starts counting again while walking backwards she soon disappears. Bo runs in the direction of a scream.
Cassie wakes up and says they are real, she is scrambling to leave yelling that she didn’t want to see what was seen. She tells Lauren that when Bo wakes up to get a straight jacket ready. She also mentions that they are all dead because of the shoes. She informs Lauren before leaving to not cut the red string of fate, only Bo can do that. Lauren watches over Bo as she starts mumbling that there is so much blood.
Bo/Dyson finds Flora in a back alley hovering over a body, Bo tries to persuade Flora that this isn’t something she wants to do. Flora has three long razor claws coming out of each hand now along with the glowing green eyes. She tells Flora that she can’t stop, doesn’t want to stop and she proceeds to attack Bo. During the struggle Bo/Dyson wolfs out, over powers Flora and stabs her with the claws. Flora returns to herself and Bo tries to remove the shoes, but they won’t come off. Bo/Dyson pleads with Flora to leave and that he/she loves her. Flora disagrees, and explains to Bo/Dyson that her love is the forest and his love is yet to come. Before she finishes a shot is fired and she dies.
At the clubhouse, Lauren is panicking and trying to wake Bo up. She thinks about untying the string, but then decides not to. She ends up writing something on the mirror, and tying Cassie’s string around herself.
A gun is dropped on the shoes, Bo looks up to see Crater. Bo/Dyson asks if he’s out of bullets, and he retorts that a man with his record would be blamed for this. He tells her that his mission was to get the shoes at any cost. He tells her to run like he’s always done and leave the shoes behind. He then starts rattling off crimes that Bo/Dyson has committed. He tells her again to run that it’s what they are expecting.
In the cage, Dyson is telling the story to Kenzi. He tells her that he almost ran, but decide not to. Dyson feels that he’s the one who killed Flora, because he made her put on the shoes. Dyson believed that his ignorance and arrogance was his crime. Kenzi asks him what happens next.
We see Dyson no longer Bo standing before Carter, he informs Carter that he’s not letting whoever his masters were possess that sort of evil. He tells Carter that he will have to kill him first. Carter is knocked out by Trick who lets Dyson know that he wants a second for the new world.
Kenzi worries that Bo isn’t going to make it in time. Dyson comforts her and lets her know that it’s not over yet, that’s when the Una Men leader comes walking up to their cage. The leader asks if Dyson has any last words. Kenzi starts to panic and repeats oh my God. The leader takes that as Kenzi speaking for Dyson. Dyson then asks the leader to release Kenzi and he will give them one of the shoes. The leader asks why should they believe him. He tells them that he has one shoe at him, and once Kenzi is released, he will give the location of the other one.
Bo is bending down speaking at Flora’s grave, she tells Flora that she’ll make sure this never happens again, she will hide the shoes where on one will ever look. Lauren appears and calls out to her. Bo thinks it’s Flora, but Lauren explains that her memories are fusing with Dyson’s. Bo see’s the coach again holding Dyson’s championship belt, she wonders what it means. Then Kezni comes around the corner with ice cream. She asks Lauren what’s happening. Lauren tells her that she has to cut the red string and come back. Bo still thinks she’s Flora, until Lauren mentions Dyson. Bo realizes that Dyson is trying to tell her something and cuts her string.
Bo wakes up and notices that Lauren is still asleep. Panicking because a human can’t be in the memories, she leans forward to cut the string, when she see’s Lauren’s message on the mirror not to cut it. She’s not sure how to wake Lauren up, so she ends up kissing her. Lauren stirs awake and questions if Bo is still Bo. Bo tells her that she knows how to save Dyson.
The Una Men sent someone to search for the shoe, but it wasn’t at the location. Bo walks in and tells them she got to it first. She found it in Dyson’s championship belt wrapped in his jock strap, which he said was clean. She tells the Una Men to set Dyson and Kenzi free and they will get the stinky shoes. A man in a mask says something in Latin and Bo recognizes his voice. She pulls off the mask and sees that it’s Carter. Bo realized that the Una Men were the ones who ordered Crater to get the shoes at all cost. The leader says that Bo is different. Bo is glad that they finally got the memo and asks if she wanted the shoe or not.
The gang is back together at the Dal celebrating them all being back together. Bo believes that the red string of fate has tied them all together. Kenzi asked Dyson what happened after he buried Flora.
We are taken back to Tricks sanctuary in France, where Dyson shows up to see what Trick wanted with him. Trick wanted him to help with a new Fae colony in the new world. He revealed to Dyson that he is the Blood King. Trick told him that he is destined to be a hero and Dyson swore fidelity to the Blood King.
At the Dal, Bo wonders why Trick hasn’t told her about anything. Kezni thinks that Trick is scared of something. Bo asks Dyson why hadn’t he or Trick told her about anything involving the shoes and the Wanderer. Dyson explains that his memories were blocked by someone or something up until now. Bo thinks they need to draw out the Wanderer by giving him something he’s wanted. She asks Dyson where the other shoe is. Dyson tells her that it’s with Angel, the bartender, who is also a fellow shifter. She was told to hide it until the time is right.
